Apprenticeship at
Magnet-Schultz

Things are moving with us Even as an apprentice you are a Magnet of Success!

Do you know what London's Tower Bridge and the landing flaps of an Airbus have in common? Have you ever wondered how it is possible not to notice a gear change in a car and how seemingly inconspicuous medical devices manage to keep us alive in an emergency? Magnet-Schultz products (actuators and sensors) are used everywhere and in many other areas of our everyday lives. This is where diversity makes all the difference. And our apprenticeships are just as diverse as the areas of application. We offer you a wide range of professions from which you can choose the one that suits you best. An excellently equipped training workshop, where you will be supervised by an experienced training team, offers you the optimal framework to set the course for a successful professional life.

Theoretical and practical training are one thing, but for us comprehensive training also includes interdisciplinary topics. That's why you'll take part in a wide variety of events throughout the apprenticeship years, such as training trips or visits to trade fairs. Once you have successfully completed your training, there is usually nothing to stop you being taken on permanently by our company - after all, why should we let our greatest talents go?

FAQ

  • Which apprenticeships can I apply for?

We offer apprenticeships in 13 different professions. On our homepage you can find detailed descriptions of all our apprenticeships and on our YouTube channel "Apprenticeship at Magnet-Schultz" you can find short apprenticeship videos. Do you already know our Instagram and Facebook profiles?

  • When can I apply for an apprenticeship?

We start every year in July - one year in advance - for the beginning of the apprenticeship in September. You can apply as soon as you have your annual school report.

  • How can I apply for an apprenticeship?

The easiest way to submit your application is via our online portal. Please upload and attach your complete and informative application documents.

  • Which application documents belong to a complete application portfolio

Please send us your motivating cover letter, your CV and your last two school reports. If you have already completed internships, you are welcome to attach your certificates.

  • How can I be sure that my application has been sent successfully

After you have sent your application online via our homepage, you will automatically receive a confirmation of receipt. If you do not receive this, the transfer did not work.

  • How does the selection process work?

After receiving your application, we will contact you immediately. Ideally, we will arrange an appointment for an interview with you directly. Your interviewers will be one person from the training team and one person from Human Resources, more precisely from the "Training and Further Education" department. There is no special dress code. The main thing is that you feel comfortable. The interview will last about 30 minutes and offers you the ideal opportunity to convince us of your qualities!

After the interview, you will receive feedback from us as soon as possible. We will do our best to respond quickly so that you can continue planning. Should it take longer, you are welcome to call us at any time and ask for an interim status. Especially if you have already been accepted for an apprenticeship by another company, but would prefer to do your apprenticeship at MSM and become a Success Magnet! :-)

  • How can I prepare for the personal interview?

Use the interview to convince us of you! After a short round of introductions on our part, everything initially revolves around you. We want to get to know you as a personality and find out whether you would fit into our team. Therefore, we would like you to tell us a little about yourself, for example, what makes you special, what your strengths are and how you like to spend your free time. Of course, we would also like to know why you have applied for this particular apprenticeship and whether you know what to expect during and after the apprenticeship. Therefore, inform yourself well about the tasks and think about what you are particularly interested in. Perhaps you have already completed an internship in this occupation? Then we look forward to hearing how you liked it and what you learned.

We are very curious and would also like to know what you already know about Magnet-Schultz and why you would like to do your apprenticeship with us, because after all we have a lot to offer :-)

Since this is supposed to be a mutual meeting, we also welcome questions from you and your parents. It is therefore best to write down your most important questions. If you forget a question in the excitement, you are of course welcome to call us at any time afterwards.

  • What happens after my training? Takeover?

We train for our own needs, i.e. it is our goal to take on all trainees in suitable jobs after they have successfully completed their apprenticeships. In the past few years, with a few exceptions, we have always succeeded in keeping the trainees in their "desired position". As soon as the final exams are in sight, we contact the trainees at an early stage and discuss their wishes so that together we can find an optimal solution for all of us. Of course, there is no guarantee for this.

We look forward to meeting you!
